What to do if I want to resize or to custom colours ?

We want to help you find the perfect motif for your project! We are available to modify the color or reduce the scale of our designs.

For simple changes to the scale or colors, please fill out the form available in the “resize and recolour” section of our website. The form will guide you through filling in the pattern link and instructions on how you would like the scale to be modified (total percentage or size of the main elements in the pattern).
Changes to the scale and fewer than four colors are free of charge.

What you need to provide:

- the link to the design you chose or the design ID number (it can be found on the product page, down, under “Details” section)
- the colors you want to change (up to 4 hex codes)
- instructions telling us where you want the colors to be changed

Once you submit the form, we will contact you with any questions and send you a digital proof via email. Please let us know if the proof is correct and if all colors are in the correct position.
After your approval, we will send you a confirmation email when the modified pattern is available for purchase as a sample or product directly from Spoonflower.

The printed color may differ. Each color will appear differently on all materials due to variables such as the printing process or printer calibration.

We are committed to satisfying your preferences as best we can. To accomplish this, we suggest that you always purchase a print proof on your chosen material to ensure that you are happy with the colours.
Please bear in mind that there may still be slight variations that are beyond our control.

If for any reason the printed sample is significantly different, we will be available for a review. Please contact us by email with the photos so that we can make the appropriate corrections.

Why the same pattern looks differenty on different intems?

Colours appear differently depending on the material they are printed on. Please bear in mind that Spoonflower relies on the white base of the material during the priting process, it doesn't use any white ink. The white base of some fabrics (synthetics, for example) will have an optic white, while more natural fibers has a more creamier white. This difference of white base colours will affect the ink colours. This could lead to subtle differences in colour perception.
We suggest to always order a sample of the pattern printed on each material. Especially if you want to print matching elements on different materials, as they may not match perfectly
